Statement of Faith

We Believe...

A statement that means we hold onto something real, rooted, and unchanging.

At The Bridge Church, everything we believe centers on Jesus… Who He is, what He’s done, and what that means for us today. He is the foundation of our faith, the lens through which we understand Scripture, and the reason we gather as a church. In a world full of shifting opinions and temporary truths, we look to Him as our constant.

We live by not a rigid set of rules, but as a reflection of a living relationship with Christ. These beliefs guide how we live, how we love others, and how we carry His hope into the world.

At The Bridge Church, we believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God—fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and completely trustworthy. It holds the answers to life’s deepest questions and remains the final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

We believe in one God who exists eternally as three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, distinct in function but united in purpose (John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7).

God is love. His heart is for all people—especially the forgotten, the hurting, the overlooked. He draws near to the broken and desires to bring healing and restoration (Psalm 68:5-6; 1 John 4:16).

We were created in God’s image, but sin created distance between us and Him. On our own, we can’t fix that. Only through Jesus—the one mediator between God and humanity—can that relationship be restored (Genesis 1:26; 1 Timothy 2:5).

Salvation is a gift. It’s not earned, and we don’t deserve it, but God freely offers it through grace. By admitting our need, trusting in Jesus’ death and resurrection, and receiving Him as Lord, we step into eternal life with God—not just someday, but beginning now (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 5:1; Romans 3:24).

We believe water baptism is a public declaration of that inward change. It’s how we identify with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection—just as He modeled for us (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17).

The Holy Spirit, too, is a gift. His presence empowers us to live with purpose, to grow in character, and to walk daily in God’s will (Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4).

God also gives spiritual gifts to believers—gifts that build up the Church and show the world His power and presence. These gifts are not just historical; they’re active and relevant now (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Peter 4:10).

Following Jesus is a journey, not a one-time event. Sanctification is the ongoing process of becoming more like Him—learning, growing, changing from the inside out (Romans 6:19; Galatians 5:22-25).

We believe Jesus still heals today—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. His compassion hasn’t changed, and His power to restore is still at work in the world (Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35; Acts 10:38; Matthew 10:1).

We also acknowledge the sobering truth that hell is real. It represents eternal separation from God, which is not His desire for anyone. That’s why He sent Jesus—to offer us a way back (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:12-15; John 3:16-18).

And finally, we hold to the promise that Jesus will return. When He does, He will gather all those who belong to Him and bring them into eternal life with God (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Hebrews 9:28).
